SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it's alarmed concerning the significant range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large number SRD of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office committed to service the area each day. The services issue designed for intervention experiences a significant influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to permit the servicing of all customers and raise access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
